You’ll get the most accurate information if we know where you’re seeking care, as insurance coverage and self-pay rates vary by state.
Below are the insurances we accept in your state. Don’t see yours listed or don’t have insurance? You can still get help through self-pay.
*This is a common co-pay range for mental health services with an in-network provider; however, you may have a different co-pay or other out-of-pocket costs (such as a deductible), dependent upon your specific plan’s benefits. After confirming that the provider you’d like to work with accepts your plan (over the phone with our support team or on the provider’s profile), please contact your insurance to determine your exact financial responsibility, prior to scheduling.
Get individual therapy for depression, stress, and more (for yourself or your child/teen). Or, work through your unique relationship challenges in couples/marriage or family therapy.
Reduce or manage symptoms of mental health conditions like anxiety and ADHD, with psychiatric medication.
Couples & marriage therapy at Thriveworks offers a path for partners, whether married or unmarried, to work through their relationship challenges together. It’s designed to address a wide range of issues, from financial distress, infidelity, jealousy, opposing values, or sex issues.
Sessions often involve exploring underlying issues and patterns of behavior, facilitating effective communication and conflict resolution skills, and developing strategies for building trust and intimacy.
Thriveworks providers are experts in facilitating open and honest conversations, guiding you and your partner towards strengthening your bond. Our approach is tailored to each couple’s unique situation, ensuring that you both feel supported as you work on resolving conflicts and building a shared vision for the future.
Over the past year, Thriveworks conducted more than 1.51 million psychiatry and therapy sessions, earning a proud 4.4 rating from over 15,000 Google reviews.
It’s important to work together to identify your reasons for starting therapy so you can find a provider that treats your specific needs & challenges.
View providers who meet your needs; search by insurance, specialties, credentials, education & more. Need help? Call us at 833-966-4293.
Your therapist will spend the first session learning about your individual & shared histories, challenges, & dynamics in order to create a treatment plan that feels achievable for you both.
You & your partner will attend joint sessions weekly or bi-weekly, so your therapist can fully understand your needs.
Your treatment can center on improving communication, resolving conflict, identifying patterns, & addressing underlying issues.
Your provider may use evidence-based approaches like the Gottman Method, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), & more.
If your therapist’s approach or style isn’t a good fit, don’t worry! Let them know, & they can either adjust or refer you to another therapist within our Thriveworks provider network.
It’s common to want to meet with multiple therapists before finding the best fit. Our customer service team can help you seamlessly switch if you’re not connecting. Call 833-966-4293 for help.
Clients who use insurance often only owe a co-pay—which is typically $20-$50 per session. However, the exact cost of our service varies, based on your payment method (insurance or self-pay) and whether you’re attending therapy or psychiatry. From there, it will depend on your insurance plan’s specific deductible and co-pay or your provider’s specific self-pay rate.
Couples & marriage therapy may be filed under one person’s insurance if only one partner is covered. If both partners have separate coverage, or dual coverage as it often called, Thriveworks will bill the primary insurance first and submit the remaining balance to the secondary insurance, if applicable.
Alternatively, couples may choose to pay out-of-pocket if therapy is not covered or for privacy reasons.
If you don’t have insurance or your plan doesn’t cover mental health services, you can use self-pay instead.
Below is our self-pay breakdown by service and state. You can also find the exact self-pay rate for each clinician on their profile, and we can provide this information over the phone, too — so that you can make an informed, confident decision before scheduling with us.

It can also be helpful to discuss the rewards of therapy with them, allowing them to develop a personal stake in the outcome.
