Growing up in a working-class, single-parent home shaped my empathy, and I bring personal and professional experience to meet each client with authenticity and care.
I am William Watson, a Licensed Social Worker Supervisee with 2 years of experience. Shaped by a working-class, single-parent upbringing, I bring lived experiences and strong clinical training to my work. I support adolescents and adults facing depression, anxiety, ADHD, stress, and life transitions. My goal is to provide steady guidance and practical support as a respectful partner who values honesty, feedback, and collaboration.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Arkansas and blend evidence-informed care with lived experience. My sessions emphasize practical tools, steady structure, and clear goals to help clients build confidence and skills between visits.
I know that starting therapy can feel overwhelming. That’s why I focus on creating a safe, respectful space where you can move at your own pace. If you are looking for practical strategies and a collaborative therapist who meets you where you are, I welcome you to reach out because you don’t have to face life’s challenges alone.

With Thriveworks, Online therapy is an effective alternative to in-person therapy services in which a client can speak to a Thriveworks therapist remotely via online video conferencing. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person treatment, but they can also provide added benefits like reduced travel time, saving money on transportation or childcare, and increased access to care.
Online therapy works much like traditional in-person therapy but takes place through secure video conferencing. Clients can attend Online therapy from any safe place they choose that has access to the internet, whether that be their home or another easily accessible place. Like in-person treatment, a therapist will work with their client to address their concerns, create goals, and establish an effective treatment plan.
There is no best option for online therapy—instead, it’s best to focus on finding a provider that meets your specific needs and with whom you can form a professional connection with.
Yes, online therapy is just as effetive for many clients as in-person sessions.
Online therapy can last for a few months to years depending on the goals and symptoms of the client. The treatment process will be unique to each client and lend itself to their specific concerns, which means that the time it takes to treat them will always be different. Timing is also up to the client themselves; they are free to stop therapy whenever they please, especially if they feel they have reached their goals and addressed their concerns.
At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay. We also offer self-pay options for those out-of-network or without insurance. Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state. More information on current self-pay costs is available on our pricing page.
Imagine: You work from home full-time for a job you love. You have a great family, amazing friends, and you play recreational volleyball on the weekends. However, you’re having a hard time establishing a healthy work/life balance and you find it challenging to step away from work. When you hear a ding on your work computer, you feel compelled to check and see what’s going on. This puts a strain on your relationship with your partner.
Many people associate therapy and counseling with having a more serious challenge like battling depression or coping with the loss of a loved one. In reality, counseling can prove to be beneficial for those with less severe problems, too, like in the situation above. Online counseling is a useful and reliable tool to help you manage stresses, overcome difficult challenges, and better your overall well being.

If there is something you are dealing with that’s heavy on your mind, consider working with one of our mental health professionals. To get started, simply give us a call.

Regardless, both forms of online counseling are effective, easy, and reliable. Feel free to give both options a try if you’re going back and forth!
Have you ever found yourself rushing from the office to your counselor’s office and getting frustrated when traffic hits? Have you ever wished you could comfortably talk to your counselor from the comfort of your own home? Luckily, online counseling is a solution to these issues.
There are many great benefits to this form of therapy, including comfort, convenience, reliability, and ease. You won’t have to worry about unpredictable factors making you rush to get to your appointment on time. You can even talk to your counselor during your lunch breaks or on the way home from work.
If you’re worried about online counseling not being as effective as traditional in-person therapy, don’t be. Studies show that this form of therapy is just as effective as going to an office to speak to a mental health professional. You can make the same meaningful progress over the phone or video chat.
