Can you tell us about a success you had with a client?
Yes, this client struggle with anxiety for years and was fearful of taking prescribed medication not knowing what effect the meds would have on them. I was able to assist the client with starting a journal about everyday challenges, etc., and utilize CBT assisting the client with understanding how her thought pattern was affecting her behavior and the client was able to change her thoughts pattern regarding medication and move forward. During this process the root cause of why the patient was afraid of taking prescribed medication was identified as well.
