About Patty
Patty Linville is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia who has worked with the Army for the last 9 years, providing therapy for active-duty soldiers and their spouses. She provided couple counseling, therapy for retirees, and Veterans. Their issues ranged from anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, co-dependency, and transitioning into the civilian world. Although her population served was military, Patty has also worked in the private sector providing therapy for mental health issues, helping people become mentally healthy in order to improve quality of life for adults ranging from 22-70.
Patty says she has been told by many clients that her helping was due to me being authentic and genuine. They are comfortable in her presence and recognize she is there to help them meet their goals. Patty is direct yet empathic and caring. She has confidence in her clinical skills and clients perceive that which creates a therapeutic atmosphere of trust. The bottom line: Without trust, there isn't any therapeutic relationship.
Patty has many years of providing therapy to many people. She is goal-oriented and enjoys building therapeutic relationships with her clients. She also has clinical skills that will assist you to build coping skills. Patty says she believes it is a privilege to be invited into your life to share your journey of wellness.

To have them engage in treatment and schedule future sessions.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Cross country ski, garden, build things, knit and make quilts.

I am dependable, reliable and on their side.
