Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
It brings me great joy to assist someone in overcoming a challenging situation and feeling better physically, psychologically, emotionally, or spiritually. Experiences that are fulfilling include witnessing a client reach their goals for therapy, the positive results of their treatment plan, and understanding that you have contributed significantly to someone's life betterment.
What types of clients do you work with best?
Those who put forth effort and give it their best are my ideal clients. As your therapist, I'll meet you where you are and work with you to improve the quality of your life.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
Working with clients who value a collaborative approach to therapy excites me.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Follow through on the therapy process and put in the necessary work. Regardless of how difficult or uncomfortable the task is, it is crucial that you finish it. Being on the side of JOY will be an amazing experience, and it will be well worth the effort to overcome your suffering. You got this!!
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I desired to work with a team of professionals who enhanced the quality of life for both their clients and the community.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the tenacity and resilience of people.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
The first session is a "Getting to Know You" session for both of us. You should expect to go over the intake paperwork, discuss presenting concerns that you brought to therapy, possible goals, and gain an understanding of my suitability to serve as your therapist.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Establish a rapport with a new client in which the individual feels at ease, comfortable opening up, and motivated to start a therapeutic relationship with me by the end of the first session.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
For in-person sessions, I may ask that you wear a mask, particularly if you've been ill or exposed to COVID. Taking care of my health and the health of each and every one of my clients is always my first priority.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and a good spa!
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
My empathy.
