Why did you decide to become a counselor?

I became a counselor to assist others in finding a sense of joy, internal peace, & self-awareness.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I work best with clients that are excited about the process of self-exploration and view it as a necessary and beneficial approach to overall wellness. .

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

I am most excited to work with clients that have fully decided to be intentional about committing to the therapeutic process. This conscious decision for self-exploration oftentimes increases the likelihood of a more positive outcome.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

I wish all clients knew that they should be much kinder and more gentle with themselves; as it relates to the stigma of shame associated with engaging in the therapeutic process.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

I choose to practice at Thriveworks because their mission statement which states, "to help people live happy and successful lives" is congruent with my personal world-view.

What inspires you?

Learning new things, doing exciting things, and helping others inspires me greatly.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

Based on guidance and input from the client, it is my intention during the first session to gain a very clear understanding of what it is that the client wishes to accomplish during the therapeutic process. In other words, it is my goal to determine what the client would like to address, work on, or explore specifically.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

Before scheduling a first counseling session with me, clients should know that I am primarily a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and will primarily work from this framework.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I love to spend time with great people and travel during my time off.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

One thing that defines me is being a very principle-oriented person.
