Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because I have a strong desire to help others, a passion for understanding human behavior and emotions, and a drive to make a positive impact on people's lives.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with children and young adults.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited to work with clients in general. Each client brings unique experiences and challenges.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One thing that can greatly benefit clients is understanding that therapy or counseling is a collaborative process. It's not just about the counselor providing solutions or advice; rather, it's a partnership where both the client and the counselor work together to explore challenges, gain insights, and develop strategies for personal growth and healing.
Clients can benefit from knowing that their active participation, honesty, and willingness to engage in therapeutic work are crucial to achieving positive outcomes. Therapy is a safe space for self-discovery and change, and embracing this process can lead to profound personal transformations.
