About Provider

About Enid

As an EMDR therapist, I specialize in helping individuals to unlock their natural ability to heal. Using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, I facilitate a gentle yet powerful process that it's not about erasing the past, but allowing you to finally reclaim your present and future.

My clinical experience includes over 19 years working across short and long-term treatment, intensive in-home counseling, telehealth, psychiatric hospitals, law enforcement, community-based settings, military and multicultural communities. I earned a bachelor's in Social Work from Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico and a master's in both Mental Health Counseling and Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

We all go through life changes and challenges — bright days and dark days, ups and downs. I understand that taking the first step toward healing can be daunting, but it's a step worth taking. Together, we'll create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can express your deepest emotions and confront your innermost fears. By working collaboratively, we'll unlock the strength and resilience that lies within you, allowing you to rewrite your story and pave a path toward lasting peace and fulfillment. You deserve to live a life free from the shadows of trauma and anxiety. It's time to embrace a future filled with hope, purpose, and joy. Schedule a session today, and let's walk the path of healing together.

Get to know Enid

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

My years in high school, taking electives related to psychology, working with young adults physically injured, and my second professional job in a juvenile detention center led me to my career today.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I enjoy working with clients that are active in their processes.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

Someone who is coachable and honest with themself.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

We all have ups and downs, and it is part of our personal growth. When you seek professional help, you are increasing the opportunities for development to enjoy life with healed wounds.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

I choose Thriveworks because we look for steadying at the forefront in the mental health field to provide high-quality services.

What inspires you?

I am inspired by being part of a person's transformation, helping them find their way of living to the fullest.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

The initial visit is a period to learn about your motivations to seek help and current challenges, what things you would like to work on through counseling, and get an idea of how to proceed.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

Initiate the basis to establish a therapeutic relationship developing open communication as a team.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

I like to laugh. A good laugh could be part of healing too. Utilizing humor in our process can effectively remove some internal and external barriers.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I enjoy visiting new places and exploring new ways to recharge.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

Perseverance is my best quality. Just because something doesn't work out on the first try doesn't mean I'll never be able to do it.
