Alicia Thomas, LCSW

Alicia Thomas, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, whose goal is to assist her clients in finding strength, courage, and happiness. Alicia specializes in working with tweens and teens, and adults specifically in the areas of grief and loss/trauma, and anxiety/depression.  Her true passion is helping individuals realize their full potential and helping them create fulfilling possibilities for their future. In addition to Bo’s Place experience and training, Alicia is also undergoing an extensive training through the Trauma and Grief Center of Houston to help her continue her journey of working with adolescents experiencing trauma and grief.

Alicia received her undergraduate degree from University of Michigan in 2007, and after teaching in the classroom for several years, she realized that connecting in a therapeutic space with children and teens was her true passion.  Alicia then received her Masters in Clinical Social Work from the University of Houston Graduate School of Social Work in 2012, and worked as a middle and high school counselor for over 6 years specializing in helping her clients cope with issues including anxiety/depression, learning disabilities, behavior management, career coaching, and mindfulness.  She has experience in working with depression, grief/trauma loss, family conflict, divorce, self-harming, emotional dysregulation and behavior issues, ADHD, parenting challenges, anger management, emotional eating, self-esteem, domestic violence, and relationship issues. Before switching to private practice, Alicia was a dedicated counselor working with students, their families, and their teachers to help discover the root cause of behavioral challenges and anxieties.

Alicia switched from school based clinical counseling to private practice recently and is very excited for this chapter of her life, where she can truly help teens, families, parents, and adults therapeutically from start to finish.  Her assessment and therapy approach is truly strengths based and focused on root cause so that healing can happen from within.

Angela Arche, LMSW

Making the decision to seek therapy is incredibly courageous. I have over 19 years experience working as a Social Worker and I am a licensed Master's Social Worker. I have worked with a diverse population with a variety of diagnoses and situations. However, I believe that each person's experience is unique and while they may be similar to someone else's no two people or situations are the same, therefore neither are the solutions. I provide a non-judgmental, compassionate, therapeutic environment. Working together is essential to creating a good therapeutic relationship and one that is most beneficial. I find that creating meaningful goals with clients based on specific needs really helps this process.

Life is not meant to be figured out alone. I feel both honored and privileged to work with my clients helping them to overcome their obstacles and empowering them to do so.
