My name is Sharika Driscoll, I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. Serving patients across the lifespan providing care in treating many common mental health disorders. Highly knowledgeable in diagnosing, managing medications and providing psychotherapy. 

My approach in providing care is to take on a holistic approach in providing care. Providing individualized care to patients, educating patients, their families, and communities. Serving as a patient advocate in providing safe, efficient care.

I expect every patient to gain insight, coping skills, and more effective behavioral changes that we assist in meeting every goal set

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I have always had the passion to treat and manage clients with mental health needs.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I have experience in working with early childhood to the geriatric population.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish that patients realized that mental health doesn't stop normal life goals. Everyone is equal and taking the first step reaching out for help with mental health needs is an important step.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

Clients can expect active listening skills, gain understanding of their diagnosis, comfortability, and gain a trusting relationship.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

I have the ability to adapt to any ethnicity group in providing care.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I tailor therapy to meet every clients needs by proper diagnosis, symptoms, in finding out what works better for the client.
