About Dana

I am a dedicated and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 15 years of experience in mental health. I believe mental health is vital to overall well-being, deeply impacting physical health and the management of co-existing conditions. My goal is to alleviate symptoms and promote lasting wellness by creating personalized treatment plans for clients of all ages, utilizing pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.

My professional interests focus on ADHD management, anxiety and depression management, behavioral health, suicide prevention, and trauma-informed care. I bring extensive experience treating depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, PTSD, and personality disorders with compassionate, evidence-based care.

Taking the first step requires courage. You don't have to navigate this alone. In our work together, your stories will be honored, your challenges met with compassion, and your pace respected. You deserve a safe space to heal, grow, and be yourself. I invite you to schedule your first session. Together, we'll take things one step at a time.

Get to know Dana

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a psychiatric provider during my very first nursing school rotation at an inpatient facility, where I discovered how incredibly fulfilling it is to connect with patients at their most vulnerable, learn their unique stories, and support them on their journey to healing.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with motivated individuals who are actively seeking support and are ready to invest the time and effort necessary to create lasting, meaningful change in their lives.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

If there is one thing I wish all clients knew about the healing process, it's that discovering your unique pathway to lasting, meaningful change takes time, but if you are willing to invest that time and put in your best effort, becoming the best version of yourself is absolutely possible.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In your first session, you can expect a comprehensive and thorough assessment where we will explore your psychiatric history, physical health, medication background, and day-to-day life experience and environment to build a complete picture of your needs.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is deeply informed by my dual perspective as both a clinician and a parent of children with ADHD and anxiety. Having navigated these challenges personally and professionally. I move beyond traditional diagnostics to offer 'navigational empathy'- supporting you with the practical, real-world tools I know actually work. I am a fierce advocate for individualized care that prioritizes your autonomy, rejects shame-based labels, and utilizes a conservative, holistic approach to medication that respects the complexity of the whole person.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I view therapy and medication management as a collaborative partnership, not a one-size-fitsall approach. I tailor our work by integrating your personal goals and values with evidence-based practices, regularly checking in to ensure our strategy remains flexible and responsive to your unique life experiences, environmental needs, and evolving progress.
