COVID-19 Telehealth Status
In response to the unprecedented COVID – 19 pandemic, Thriveworks Counseling will be providing services via telehealth throughout April. This ensures that our clinicians are able to continue treatment without interruption while respecting social distancing. Research says that video services are just as effective as face to face sessions. We are continuing to accept new clients during this time and have immediate openings available.
We will be utilizing an easy to use HIPAA compliant video platform to deliver services. Don’t worry… It’s an easy to use system. Your clinician will send you an email with instructions. It’s literally as easy as clicking a link. Sessions can be accessed via desktop, laptop, phone, or tablet. If you have trouble with the technology, we can always use the phone.
I’m happy to report that all major insurance payers are treating telemedicine sessions the same as they do traditional sessions during the crisis. We will check with your insurance provider prior to the session to ensure that your benefits include telehealth.
We will assess the environment again in May to determine if we can begin offering in person appointments again.
