About Nicole
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with 4 years of experience supporting individuals and families through times of challenge and change. My background includes providing care in both academic and correctional settings, where I focused on family connection, emotional regulation, and rehabilitation. My master’s internship was at a male correctional facility, where I worked in both group and individual settings focused on emotional growth and resilience. I’m passionate about helping clients navigate learning and developmental disabilities, build coping skills, and find renewed purpose in their healing journey.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from West Virginia University. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and mindful interviewing to help clients manage emotions, strengthen coping skills, and shift unhelpful thought patterns.
My approach is compassionate, goal-focused, and collaborative. I truly care about understanding what you’re going through and providing a safe, supportive space for healing. You don’t have to face things alone. Let’s navigate this journey together. When you’re ready, I’m here for you.

"Having experienced close family loss and living with a learning disability, I deeply understand how life’s challenges can weigh heavily and the pressure to push beyond what feels humanly possible."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I was never given the opportunity to go to therapy and talk about the things I experienced as a child. As a result, I ended up coping with my problems in unhealthy ways. Now, I want to be there for others—to support them and help them find healthier ways to navigate both new and past experiences.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Therapy is here to support you at your own pace. I’m not here to tell you what to do but to help you process your emotions and understand how to help yourself. Mental health challenges are becoming increasingly common, and not everything improves on its own. Taking the first step is important, and it’s okay to ask for help. Remember, seeking support is a sign of strength, and every small step forward is progress toward a healthier, happier you. You are worthy of care, compassion, and healing.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Our first session will be an intake, where we’ll take some time to get to know each other. I’ll gather important information, share my approach as a therapist, and begin building a trusting and supportive relationship with you. Over the next few sessions, I want to hear more about your story, your needs, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. Together, we’ll create a plan that feels right for you. My priority is always to provide a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard and supported as we work toward your goals.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
There are a lot of different theories and types of therapy. I will go out of my way to find one the works for each individual client. I know that no two therapy session will be the same, and different clients may need different approaches. We can work together to get the right approach for you.
