Clients can supplement their time in depression counseling with daily movement! By movement I mean physical activity of any kind that feels good including but not limited to stretching, dancing, walking, practicing yoga, running, and/or hiking.
Leading up to your first depression counseling session it would be useful to keep a daily log of your symptoms and level of depression to provide your clinician with an accurate baseline of where you are starting from.
