Nicole Hill, PMHNP

Philosophy of Care

Board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Nicole Hill brings vast amounts of knowledge and experience with over 10 years of compassionate practice as a mental health Registered Nurse.

Beyond her 10 years of experience within the mental health field, Nicole understands, firsthand, the challenges and shortcomings that a majority of her patients’ experience. Throughout her life, Nicole has witnessed many close and immediate family members struggle and overcome various mental health disorders including major depression, anxiety, PTSD, and most impactful to her, substance abuse. Nicole believes that this personal experience has enabled and encouraged her to pursue and be successful in her career in the field of mental health. Nicole enjoys using her professional knowledge and personal experiences to bring the best possible care to her patients so they can reach their true potential.

Nicole is both compassionate and empathetic. After being a psychiatric nurse in various specialties, she witnessed the overwhelming scarcity of providers along with a sad stigma surrounding mental illness. This inspired and propelled Nicole to obtain her psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner license to allow her to jump in and help fill these gaps. She has made it her mission to fight for improved access and treatment for those suffering with mental illness.

Nicole likes to remind her patients, “your brain is an organ just like your heart, lungs, kidneys and liver… and just like those other organs, your brain can become sick too.” Nicole believes that caring for your mental health is of the utmost importance for improved quality of life. Most uniquely about this provider, Nicole empowers her clients to participate in decision-making for their treatment and believes in holistic patient-centered care. More noteworthy, she enjoys sharing her vast knowledge and resources surrounding treatment to educate her patients. Nicole truly values and fosters a warm and trusting relationship with all of her patients.
