About Mechele
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 1 year of experience supporting individuals on their mental wellness journey. I provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adolescents and adults navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use. My approach blends medication management with supportive therapy in a safe, empathetic space. I focus on building rapport, empowering clients through education, and tailoring treatment plans to meet unique goals.
I earned my Master’s in Nursing from South University, where I built a foundation in evidence-based practices and whole-person care. I utilize a patient-centered approach that integrates education, advocacy, and therapy, ensuring clients feel supported and informed throughout their treatment journey.
My goal is to help individuals achieve balance, clarity, and empowerment by addressing mental and physical wellness. I believe mental health is the cornerstone of overall well-being, and I am committed to providing care that helps clients move forward with confidence, peace, and resilience.

"I recognize the significant impact mental health can have on every area of life."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I believe true health and wellness begin with the mind; when mental health is unaddressed, it can hinder one's ability to prioritize and maintain physical well-being. Mental wellness serves as the foundation for overall health.
What types of clients do you work with best?
My approach is best suited for clients who are committed to participating in their care and open to making meaningful changes that support their mental well-being.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited to work with any client who is open and ready to engage in their mental health journey with curiosity and a commitment to change. I find it deeply rewarding to work with individuals who may be new to psychiatric care or have felt misunderstood in the past. Building a safe, collaborative relationship with these clients and empowering them to take meaningful steps toward healing is a powerful process.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Taking the step to seek help reflects significant strength. Though there are no quick solutions, progress can be made through a collaborative approach and consistent effort, leading to meaningful improvements in mental health.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to practice at Thriveworks because it offers a supportive work environment, flexible scheduling, and focuses on patient care.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
I help individuals navigate mental wellness by blending personalized medication management with supportive therapy in a safe and empathetic space.
