Knoxville Counseling – TN Therapists, Mental Health Services
Even the best of lives is full of “ups and downs,” “highs and lows,” “good times and hard times,” “summers and winters.” If you’re on this webpage today, it’s possible that your life is in one of those winters.
While it is true that many already successful and happy people seek counseling for continued growth and achievement, a lot of people don’t think about talking to a therapist or coach until they’ve experienced a particularly harsh emotional winter, often braving it alone, getting colder and colder.
Perhaps your situation is similar to one of the following scenarios:
- A close friend or family member has passed away and you’re having a difficult time moving through the grief
- You’re noticing a downward turn in your career and don’t know how to change directions
- You or your spouse has started using the D-word (divorce) in arguments
- Physical aches and pains are persistent, and don’t go away even with medical treatment
- Your days are characterized by fatigue and an overall lack of motivation
If you’re in an emotional winter, it’s important that you get warm, and fast. Unfortunately, the traditional process of calling counseling offices, leaving messages and waiting to hear if they accept your insurance (and have current session openings) only prolongs the winter. Perhaps it even makes your life feel a little colder because the helping hand seems so far out of reach.
We began Thriveworks to put an end to these prolonged exchanges, to offer a new approach to counseling where the help you need is available when you need it, not days or weeks later. When you call us, you will speak to an actual person who will help you get an appointment for the same week, if not within 24 hours of your call. You will also get online counseling therapy opportunities.
We invite you to thrive in life!”
These days, it’s hard to turn your head without seeing someone trying to provide you advice, predictions, secrets to success, or a miracle cure of some kind. That’s not us.
Thriveworks Knoxville Counseling therapists are fully licensed and certified mental health professionals, with additional expertise in positive psychology and coaching (coaching, or “life coaching,” focuses on helping clients reach their personal and professional ambitions/goals).
We, the therapists at Thriveworks Knoxville Counseling, want you to know that regardless of how cold, dark or difficult life seems right now, we want to help you to restore happiness, and to bring positive impactful change into your life. Call today for in-person counseling or online therapy.
In short, people seek help from a counselor or coach to achieve balance.
Popular culture obsesses over external appearance. Headlines like “This 1 Secret Makes Gym Owners Mad!” or “Get 6-Pack Abs with this Simple 6-Minute Exercise” or “Celebrity XYZ Reveals their Secrets to Losing that Baby Weight!” inundate our news feeds, but rarely do we ever see headlines offering the latest hot tips on how to reduce stress and increase fulfillment.
This is an egregious lack of balance. Just like we should be pursuing physical wellness through regular exercise, sleeping well and eating a nutritious diet (headlines like the above parodies will likely not lead you there), our mental wellbeing benefits greatly from attention, care and professional guidance.
Without balance, without active maintenance of the entirety of your person, you run the risk of day-to-day living becoming burdensome and overwhelming.”
In truth, there is no standard set of reasons for why millions of people look to a counselor or coach for help — the list is infinite.
As a sample, here are a few of the reasons why people work with Thriveworks Knoxville Counseling:
- Anxiety disorders
- Couples and marriage counseling
- Eating disorders
- Obsessive-compulsive tendencies
- Grief counseling
- ADHD counseling
- Child therapy
- Suspected abuse of a child
- Psychological testing
- Anger management
- Addiction issues
- Life coaching
- Life transitions such as divorce or loss of a job
While this list can go on forever, there are, however, three identifiable benefits our clients receive.
A Thriveworks Knoxville Counseling coach or therapist will teach you how to:
- Set and achieve goals
- Work through challenging relationships and life issues
- Pursue inner strength and personal growth
Thriveworks Counseling was founded in 2008 with the mission of helping clients dramatically improve their lives, careers and relationships. Although we’ve grown from the windowless one-room office in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to a growing national franchise, our mission stays the same.
With great pride we offer our therapy and coaching services in Knoxville, Tennessee. Our clinicians are leaders in the field and have been featured in trusted news outlets, such as, Mashable, The Cult of Mac, Bleacher Report, The Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, Counseling Today, CNN, Prevention, Newsday, AJC, The Monitor, and more. Furthermore, you can trust our counselors and coaches to stay at the cutting edge of knowledge and techniques through the rigorous continuing education programs they participate in.
Major Insurance Plans Accepted
By Accepting major insurance plans, we make high-quality counseling care affordable in Knoxville, Tennessee.”
We get it. You pay a lot for those insurance premiums every month — and those insurance plans cover mental health counseling services. You don’t want to pay hundreds of dollars out-of-pocket when you could be paying a $20 co-pay.
We find it alarming how few counseling practices are willing to serve their valued clients by accepting their insurance payers reimbursements. In contrast to the norm, we accept many (if not most) major insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, Tricare, Humana and many more.
Appointments Available Within 24 Hours
At Thriveworks, we’re redefining the term ‘customer service’ in counseling. While many practices fail to even answer their telephone, and have waiting lists that are weeks or months long (usually due to therapists “part time” schedules), Thriveworks Knoxville Counseling offers premium care, including sessions within 24 hours, and access to your counselor or coach by both telephone and email, even when you don’t have an appointment on the books.
Extended Evening and Weekend Hours
Thriveworks Knoxville Counseling offers session times that suit your schedule, with appointments available during the daytime, evening and on weekends. Our current hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Even if you need an appointment outside of our posted schedule, don’t hesitate to contact us. Our team has been known to schedule clients outside of our already extended hours.
