As a veteran and trauma-informed therapist, I understand that our experiences can shape how we see ourselves and the world around us, and I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered to better understand themselves and the experiences that have shaped them.
I am a Licensed Social Worker and trauma-informed therapist with extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. Throughout my career, I have supported people navigating trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, behavioral and emotional challenges, family conflict, crisis, and difficult life transitions. I work with clients who may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure of what comes next, helping them better understand their experiences, develop healthier ways of coping, strengthen relationships, and build confidence in themselves and their ability to navigate life’s challenges.
I believe therapy works best when clients feel comfortable being honest and know they will be met without judgment. I take a practical, individualized approach, helping clients recognize patterns, build coping and communication skills, and identify strategies that fit their lives. I value authenticity, and working alongside each client at their own pace.
Reaching out for support can be difficult, especially when you have been carrying things on your own for a long time. You do not have to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Wherever you are right now, we can start there. If you feel I may be a good fit for you or your family, I invite you to schedule an appointment.

A therapist dedicated to helping people find their sense of purpose and identity and helping people heal from experiences that may be preventing growth and contentment in life.
My name is Chad. I began my journey in mental health treatment in 2009 after leaving seven years of service in the United States Air Force. I earned a Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2012 and achieved licensure in 2014.I was certified in EMDR in 2011 and have been actively treating trauma symptoms for over 15 years. I've learned to integrate CBT and Narrative therapy into my practice for a more complete approach to recovery. I also help clients build boundaries, improve coping skills, develop better communication methods, resolve conflict more effectively, and pursue their life goals.
Life experiences shape how we see and respond to the world. Some lead to growth and strength. Others—toxic people, traumatic events, undeserved hardship—limit our sense of identity and control. Improved boundaries and communication help clients build healthier support. Trauma therapies help heal from past wounds and live more fully in the present.
Everybody has their own story. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and helping you write the next chapters in your life. Nothing is certain, but I will offer you the best guidance and insight I can provide and help you take your next steps forward. I look forward to meeting you and beginning this journey together.

My approach is strength-based, holistic, and trauma-informed, with a focus on helping clients build resilience, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Columbia University and have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). Throughout my career, I have supported individuals and families facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges.
I believe therapy is most effective when it is built on trust, collaboration, and connection. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore your experiences. Together, we will build on your strengths, navigate life's challenges, and work toward goals that align with your values.

Has your son or daughter struggled with Anxiety and or Depression? Each child will have their own unique symptoms and only you, knowing them best, can truly know how they are affected by anxiety. How do we support our children? Do we push them through it, having them face their fears directly on? Do we snuggle them, tell them that it’ll be alright, and let them choose what’s best? Parenting is so difficult. Our children definitely did not come with manuals!
We believe small groups provide an inclusive and safe environment to allow children to learn and grow, and to develop resiliency. Resiliency is key, as it will increase your child’s tolerance with fearful situations. In addition, coping skills are learned to handle those fearful moments, each second at a time.
At Thriveworks Colorado Springs, we have several small groups. Our group for Anxiety/Depression will meet a total of 8 sessions. There will be a 6 adolescents in each group, with 2 providers.
