Christian Counseling – Therapists and Counselors in Colorado Springs

Life isn’t all beautiful views and sunny days. Sometimes there are stretches where the rain doesn’t let up, your feet are blistered, the hill is never ending and you feel very much alone.
These are the times when a little extra help is nice, necessary even. After all, humans aren’t meant to walk alone.

But just like how no one will weather the same storm, how an individual gets through to the next sunny day is also unique. For some, the support of close friends or family will suffice. Others reach out to professional services. But some know they never truly walk alone- they have a faith to help them through the trials.

Counseling should not ignore the spiritual aspect of your mental and emotional health. If it is important to you, then it is important to us!

Colorado Springs Thriveworks has trained therapists adept in counseling strategies and share your Christian faith. They understand how important your walk with God is and encourage your spiritual and personal growth.

Christian beliefs are overflowing with hope, love and healing. Spiritual health is just as important as mental and emotional and is often the missing piece in therapy. Colorado Springs Thriveworks can offer that missing piece!

There is nothing to be ashamed of!

There is nothing shameful about receiving extra, external help as a Christian. Believers are meant to strengthen each other, and a Thriveworks counselor is nothing but a fellow believer with professional training in therapy.

Reaching out for help does not reflect negatively on your faith, it usually signifies strength!

What does a Christian counseling session look like?

In many ways, a session with one of Thrivework’s Christian therapists will be like any other therapy session- uniquely structured to fit your needs and goals and orientated to produce personal growth!

Christian therapy deviates from the norm in that it can focus on the shared spiritual beliefs between client and counselor. Christian therapy exists on a spectrum and can be heavily influenced by your faith or have more of an emphasis on traditional therapy strategies. It is up to you!

Often, Christian values are brought up and talked about in regard to your personal struggles. Scripture can be examined, and we can discuss how your faith intertwines with adversity- mental or otherwise. Christian therapy may be for you if you have questions or doubts about:

  • What the Bible says about your adversity
  • Actions and next steps that align with your beliefs
  • How to find relief through your faith

And much more! The possibilities of discussions and applications are limitless. Christian therapy can be supplemental to any type of therapy- no matter the problem! Some common situations that benefit from Christian therapy include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Relationship Issues
  • Major change in life (career, move, etc.)
  • Grief and loss
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Substance Abuse and addiction
  • Feeling a spiritual void
  • Low self-esteem
  • Forgiveness
  • Anger management

Any other trials you may be experiencing!

Christian Therapy is for everyone

Our job as therapists is to facilitate your personal growth- growth that is led and achieved by you. We share your beliefs and want to help you use your faith to achieve your goals, but we do not push our personal beliefs on anyone.

Any denomination or religion is welcome to Christian therapy.

Your Christian faith plays a huge part in your life already, and that should not be different when you come to therapy. Colorado Springs Thriveworks is here to help you become the best you; we don’t have a wait list and are eager to assist you in finding that next day of sunshine!

. Choice theory was helpful through my relationship counseling but also could be used individually to helps each person grow themselves. Jerry used real scenarios in order to water down the theory, making it less scientific and more geared toward individual use. Jerry was patient, helpful, and very understanding.
