There are many reasons a person might pursue therapy, counseling, or life coaching. For example, if you or a loved one have recently experienced a traumatic event or a loss, or if you’re experiencing acute feelings that impair your daily routine. In such instances, you might have difficulty functioning, or be unsure of how to even get through the day. Or perhaps you simply feel that your life isn’t going in the right direction, and you need help finding a better path. Or maybe your child or teenager is becoming difficult to manage, and you fear that you might be losing them completely.
All of these are common reasons to pursue professional counseling, but they really don’t scratch the surface. At Thriveworks Counseling & Psychiatry Littleton we have highly trained, experienced, nonjudgmental, caring counselors, therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists ready to walk with you on whatever journey you are facing, through in-person counseling, online counseling, or telepsychiatry. You do not have to go through this alone.
How Much Does Counseling Cost?
Fees and the quality of counseling services vary greatly throughout the Denver metro area. Thriveworks accepts most major health insurance plans, helping to keep our essential services affordable to clients. Thriveworks Counseling & Psychiatry Littleton also offers competitive rates for clients paying out-of-pocket. We will work with you to understand and to make sure the costs associated with your counseling sessions will be manageable and within your budget.
What Do Psychiatrists Do?
At Thriveworks Counseling & Psychiatry Littleton board-certified psychiatrists (MDs) and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNPs) can diagnose, treat, and help prevent mental health disorders such as major depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). They do this through careful, individualized evaluation that might include psychological tests, patient physicals, and taking a personal and family medical history — all virtually, via video!
They will also want to evaluate in-depth any symptoms a client might be experiencing, looking out for things like insomnia, mania, prolonged lethargy and despair, and compulsive behaviors. If a Thriveworks telepsychiatrist diagnoses a client with a mental health condition, they develop a treatment plan in collaboration with the client. The plan might include psychotherapy approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and/or psychiatric medication like antidepressants.
