Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Growing up in Egypt, I witnessed the stigma surrounding mental health and how it often prevented people from seeking the support they needed. I became a clinical social worker to help break that stigma and provide a safe, compassionate space for those struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and trauma. Everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and supported on their path to healing, and I’m honored to be part of that journey.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, and trauma, especially those who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward. I particularly connect with clients who are ready to explore their emotions, challenge negative patterns, and build resilience. Whether you’re struggling with past experiences, cultural stigma, or day-to-day stressors, I provide a safe, supportive space to help you heal and grow at your own pace.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I’m most excited to work with clients who are ready to explore their emotions, challenge negative patterns, and take steps toward healing. I have a deep passion for supporting individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and trauma—especially those who have felt unheard or impacted by cultural stigma around mental health. I thrive in helping clients build resilience, gain insight, and create meaningful change in their lives.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. It takes courage to face your struggles and seek support, and no matter how tough things feel, change is possible. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone, and together, we can work toward healing, growth, and building the life you deserve.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to practice at Thriveworks because they share my commitment to providing accessible, compassionate care in a supportive environment. Their focus on client-centered therapy aligns with my belief that healing happens when clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. At Thriveworks, I can collaborate with a team of like-minded professionals and offer the highest quality care to help clients work through trauma, anxiety, depression, and more.
What inspires you?
I’m inspired by the resilience of individuals who, despite facing tremendous challenges, continue to seek growth and healing. The courage it takes to confront trauma, anxiety, or depression, and the hope that emerges when someone starts to believe in their own strength, motivates me every day. I’m deeply driven by the opportunity to support others in their journey toward transformation and empowerment.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In our first session, clients can expect a warm, non-judgmental space where they can share their story at their own pace. I’ll take the time to listen carefully and understand what brought you in for support. We’ll work together to set goals and explore strategies that will help you move toward healing and growth. It’s all about creating a collaborative relationship where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session, my goal is to establish a sense of safety and trust, allowing the client to feel comfortable sharing their experiences. I want to understand their unique challenges, goals, and what they hope to achieve in therapy. Together, we’ll begin to outline a path forward, identifying initial steps and building a foundation for our work together.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
Before scheduling a first session, clients should know that I create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where they can explore their feelings and challenges openly. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and trauma, and I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing. My approach is client-centered, meaning we’ll work together to build a personalized plan that respects your unique needs and goals.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
On my time off, I enjoy playing video games, blasting music, and driving around to clear my mind. I also love spending time with my cat and hanging out with friends, whether indoors or outdoors. These activities help me unwind and recharge so I can bring my best self to the work I do with my clients.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
One thing that defines me outside of my professional life is my deep love for connecting with others. Whether it’s bonding over a video game with friends, sharing a laugh, or enjoying quiet moments with my cat, I value authentic connections and the joy that comes from simply being present with those I care about.
