Taylor Barton, LCPC
Philosophy of Care
Taylor Barton is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who has over ten years of experience working with children, individuals and families presenting with a wide variety of issues across multiple settings. Taylor obtained her Bachelor Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University in Chicago. Taylor has a keen interest in helping others work through trauma and trained to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Other specialties include depression, stress, relationship issues, and grief.
Taylor believes that meeting an individual where they are and building a strong therapeutic relationship are key to the success of treatment. Taylor prides herself on offering a safe environment to explore pain and difficult feelings. Using an individualized approach, she will tailor treatment to your unique needs and help you process past and current experiences as well as explore relationships.
Taylor believes in taking care of our mental health. Whether you have experienced trauma, a loss, or are feeling unhappy with yourself or in your relationships, Taylor feels everyone can benefit from individual therapy. With some humor and humility, Taylor aims to empower others to make positive change in their lives.
