Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I have always been fascinated with the field of psychology. I spent one year after college volunteering for Americorps working with inner city children and families and the combination of helping people and building relationships led me to pursue a career in counseling.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
When I first meet a client it's important for me to establish a rapport. I like to get to know my clients a little before diving in to deep work.
