About Sarah
I’m a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of experience in healthcare. I’m passionate about supporting individuals and families as they navigate mental health challenges, trauma, and life transitions. I work with adults balancing family and work demands while managing anxiety, depression, or past experiences. My goal is to help each person strengthen their sense of connection, well-being, and self-awareness through compassionate, personalized care.
I earned my Master’s in Nursing from Maryville University. My approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a trauma-informed perspective. I incorporate cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and holistic techniques to meet the unique needs of each client and foster a safe space for growth and healing.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, but it’s also an empowering act of courage and self-care. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone, and together we can work toward balance, healing, and renewed hope. I invite you to take the next step toward the care and connection you deserve.

"Having experienced personal trauma myself, I approach healing with genuine empathy and understanding, creating a safe, compassionate space for growth and connection."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Becoming a psychiatric provider was a calling shaped by both personal experience and a deep desire to help others feel seen and supported. I’ve always believed that healing happens through connection, and I’m passionate about helping others heal, grow, and build resilience through compassionate, evidence-based care.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients knew that healing isn’t a straight line. Progress often comes in small, meaningful steps, and every step forward, no matter how small, is worth celebrating.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
During our first meeting, I’ll take time to understand your background, current challenges, and hopes for therapy. Together, we’ll identify your goals and begin to outline a personalized path forward. The early stages of therapy are about building a strong therapeutic relationship—one rooted in safety, trust, and collaboration—so that you feel supported and empowered as we move through the healing process.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I see therapy as a partnership built on trust and respect. By understanding each client’s individual strengths, challenges, and hopes, I’m able to adapt my approach to help them feel supported, empowered, and equipped to create meaningful change.
