About Comfort
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 7 years of experience supporting adults and young adults navigating mental health challenges. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and life transitions. My goal is to help clients find balance, strengthen resilience, and achieve meaningful, lasting change through compassionate, evidence-based care.
I earned my master’s in nursing from Northern Kentucky University. My approach is collaborative and holistic, integrating evidence-based treatment with empathy and active listening. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique needs and goals.
Seeking support is an important step, and you don’t have to take it alone. I strive to create a safe, structured, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported. When you’re ready, I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward greater clarity, stability, and long-term well-being.

"I bring my experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients are heard, understood, and supported with compassionate, evidence-based care."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a psychiatric provider when I was in high school.
What types of clients do you work best with?
Young adults to geriatrics
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that psychotherapy is a powerful, evidence-based tool that can lead to meaningful improvements in mood, functioning, and overall well-being and investing in your mental health is just as essential as caring for your physical health.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, clients can expect a thorough yet comfortable assessment where we review symptoms, medical and mental health history, and the goals they hope to achieve. Early in therapy, I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship, establishing a clear treatment plan, and helping clients understand the strategies and interventions we’ll use. Clients can expect a structured, collaborative approach grounded in evidence-based care, active listening, and a pace that feels supportive and manageable.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is guided by empathy and respect for each person’s journey. I draw on both my clinical experience and personal insight into mental health to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to take charge of their healing.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Tailor therapy by first understanding each client’s unique experiences, goals, and challenges. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing, selecting and adapting techniques that best fit their individual needs. Together, we create a personalized plan that honors their strengths, addresses their concerns, and supports meaningful, lasting change.
