Deanna completed her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. She had to overcome trauma at an early age which led her to pursue a career helping others with trauma and grief. Lakesha McLaurin is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has 10 years of experience in the mental health field. Lakesha’s professional mission is to provide her clients with the best quality of care, support, and assistance in helping them achieve their therapeutic goals. She believes that working with clients to achieve their therapeutic goals and improve their daily living is the most vital part in achieving a healthy and fulfilled life.

Lakesha completed her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health at Henderson State University. She is a certified Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor. Lakesha began her journey in the mental health field in 2011 working as a paraprofessional while studying for the National Counselor Exam. From there, she became a Licensed Associate Counselor working with adolescents in school-based therapy. In December of 2014 she moved to Beaumont, Texas, where she was licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern and worked for a private practice group. In 2016, Lakesha made the transition to working and contracting with various populations which include children, adolescents, geriatrics, and the nonprofit sector. 

Lakesha's clinical focus is using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused, and person-centered therapies with clients in the therapeutic environment. She strives to stay up-to-date with new theoretical perspectives to provide her clients with the best level of care.
