Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to pursue a career as a psychiatric provider because I deeply recognize the profound impact mental health has—not only on individuals, but on families, communities, and society as a whole. During my early nursing career, I witnessed how many people struggling with mental health challenges hesitated to seek help, often due to fear of stigma or judgment. These experiences inspired me to become an advocate for accessible, compassionate care. As a psychiatric provider, my mission is to create a safe, supportive space where individuals feel empowered to seek help. I am committed to providing evidence-based care with empathy and respect, helping patients tap into their inner resilience, find healing, and move forward with hope
