Chavontreal Allen is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of supervisory experience in residential settings for adolescents and children, and a combined 5 years of counseling experience across a variety of treatment settings. Chavontreal has previous experience in crisis counseling, trauma work, and recovery services. Her theory is that when people can challenge and replace beliefs that have boxed them in and kept them stuck, people are free to be their most authentic selves.

She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology and a minor in Child and Family Services at Baylor University. She then earned her Master’s in Counseling at Prairie View A&M University. She utilizes various clinical approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed therapy.

Chavontreal is passionate about helping people get to know and understand themselves fully. She believes that in order to really live a healthy and successful life by your own standards, you must first be in touch with the real you. As the many layers of yourself are uncovered, her hope is that you begin to listen, love, and believe in yourself.
