About Agnelyne
Hi, I'm Agnelyne Ndifor, DNP, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience in emergency and outpatient psychiatric care. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood disorders, stress, and life transitions. Many of my clients seek a safe space to feel heard without judgment, learn to manage their emotions, and regain balance and confidence. As a young Black woman and minority provider, I understand the importance of culturally sensitive care, and I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being their authentic selves.
My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals. I combine evidence-based treatment, medication management, psychoeducation, and therapeutic techniques to help clients gain insight, develop healthier coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I understand reaching out can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate life's challenges alone. Healing and growth take time, and I believe everyone deserves to feel supported, understood, and empowered. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or looking for guidance, I look forward to walking alongside you toward healing and wellness.

"As a young minority woman and board-certified PMHNP, I know how important it is to feel understood and comfortable with your provider, and I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free space where clients can be fully themselves. "

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provide
I decided to become a psychiatric provider because I’ve always been passionate about helping people through some of the most difficult and vulnerable moments of their lives. Working as an ER nurse exposed me to the profound impact that mental health has on individuals, families, and overall well-being, and it inspired me to pursue a role where I could provide more long-term support and meaningful change. As a PMHNP, I value being able to build genuine connections with clients, advocate for mental health awareness, and create a safe space where people feel heard, understood, and supported in their healing journey.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adolescents and adults who are motivated to improve their mental health and overall quality of life, even if they may not know exactly where to start. I especially connect well with clients navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood disorders, stress, life transitions, and challenges related to self-esteem or emotional regulation. As a young Black woman and minority provider, I also value providing culturally sensitive care and creating a supportive environment where clients from diverse backgrounds feel comfortable, understood, and empowered to be themselves.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that healing is not linear, and seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Growth often comes in small steps, and it’s okay to have setbacks along the way. Mental health care is not about being “perfect.” It’s about learning to better understand yourself, develop healthier coping skills, and create a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling. You do not have to go through difficult seasons alone, and meaningful change is possible with the right support and commitment to the process.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment during their first session with me. In the beginning, I focus on getting to know each client as a whole person by discussing their current concerns, symptoms, personal history, lifestyle factors, and goals for treatment. Together, we create a treatment plan that feels realistic and tailored to their needs, whether that includes medication management, coping strategies, psychoeducation, or additional therapeutic support. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable, heard, and supported while building a strong foundation for progress and overall wellness.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is grounded in empathy, compassion, cultural awareness, and the belief that every person deserves to feel heard and respected. Growing up as a minority woman and working in high-stress healthcare environments taught me the importance of resilience, emotional support, and creating safe spaces where people can be vulnerable without fear of judgment. Those experiences helped shape my commitment to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive care while meeting clients where they are and supporting them through life’s challenges with understanding and authenticity.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor treatment by taking the time to understand each client’s individual experiences, symptoms, cultural background, personality, strengths, and goals. I recognize that no two people experience mental health challenges in the same way, so I collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that fit their specific needs and lifestyles. Depending on the client, this may include medication management, psychoeducation, coping skills, lifestyle modifications, supportive therapy techniques, or coordination with additional resources to help support their overall progress and well-being.
