Lori is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), board- certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and board-certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC). She has experience managing and treating a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, bedwetting, PTSD, women's issues, and trauma. She is passionate about providing convenient, timely services through tele-health to improving access to mental health care. Lori completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Her doctoral studies focused on a model to integrate mental health into primary care to improve access and decrease barriers to mental health services. Dr. Hopwood earned a Bachelor of Nursing and Master of Public Health from the University of Illinois at Springfield. She earned a Master of Nursing from the University of Cincinnati with a focus in Women's Health, followed by a post-master certificate in Family Health from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Her education and solid clinical practice experience provide her with the knowledge and skill to diagnose and treat an array of mental health disorders. She provides expert patient-centered care and problem-focused therapy. No one plans to have mental health challenges in life, but sometimes events or circumstances happen that are beyond our control, causing a profound emotional effect. These certainly can be difficult and challenging times that affect one's mental well-being. Dr. Hopwood is here to help you through these "seasons in life." She has had many family and personal experiences that have strengthened her desire to help individuals cope with unanticipated life events and mental health challenges including divorce, blended family, alcohol addiction, partner suicide, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and trauma.
