About Edith
I'm a bilingual psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who believes mental health care should feel personal, collaborative, and judgment-free. I provide both medication management and psychotherapy, allowing us to address your mental health from a whole-person perspective. I work with adolescents, adults, and seniors navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, and panic. I'm fluent in English and Spanish and welcome clients from all backgrounds, including those seeking culturally responsive care in either language.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to you. I value psychotherapy and believe meaningful progress comes from feeling heard, understood, and supported. When appropriate, I also collaborate with your therapist and other healthcare providers—with your consent—to help ensure your care is connected and aligned with your goals.
Starting or restarting your mental health journey can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it alone. I'm here to listen, understand, and support you without judgment. If you're ready to take the next step, I invite you to schedule an appointment. We can start where you are and work together toward feeling more balanced and like yourself again.

"As a bilingual PMHNP, I believe in building a trusting and collaborative relationship with each patient, creating a safe space where they feel heard, understood, and empowered as we work together toward their mental health and wellbeing."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to become a psychiatric provider because I believe mental health care should be compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I wanted to be in a position to help people feel heard, understood, and supported while navigating some of the most difficult moments in their lives. I enjoy getting to know each person as an individual, understanding how their experiences and goals shape their mental health, and working together to develop a treatment plan that feels realistic and meaningful to them. It is rewarding to see patients gain confidence, develop healthier coping strategies, and recognize that meaningful change is possible.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish every client knew is that healing is not a straight line, and progress does not always look the way we expect it to. There may be setbacks, difficult days, or times when it feels like nothing is changing, but that does not mean you have failed or that treatment is not working. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Mental health care is a process, and meaningful change often happens through small, consistent steps. My goal is to meet clients where they are, without judgment, and support them as they work toward feeling more like themselves and building a life that feels meaningful to them.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
During our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, judgmentfree environment where we take time to get to know one another. We will talk about what brings you to care, your current concerns, your mental health history, your goals, and what you hope to get out of treatment. I will also explain my approach and work with you to develop a treatment plan that fits your individual needs, preferences, and circumstances. In the early stages of care, my focus is on building a trusting therapeutic relationship, establishing goals, understanding your strengths and challenges, and identifying practical strategies that can support you between visits. When clinically appropriate, I may also recommend laboratory testing or coordination with your primary care provider to evaluate for medical or nutritional factors that could contribute to or worsen mental health symptoms. I believe in taking a whole-person approach rather than looking at mental health symptoms in isolation. You do not need to have everything figured out before coming in. We can work through it together, at a pace that feels manageable for you.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I believe effective mental health care starts with understanding the person, not just the symptoms. I tailor treatment by taking time to understand each client’s unique experiences, strengths, goals, values, relationships, and current circumstances. Together, we identify what is most important to address and develop a treatment approach that feels realistic and meaningful. I also recognize that what works well for one person may not work for another. I adjust treatment based on each client’s response, preferences, progress, and changing needs. Whether that means focusing on medication management, coping strategies, lifestyle factors, behavioral changes, or coordinating with other members of a client’s care team, my goal is to provide collaborative, individualized care that helps each person move toward greater stability and improved quality of life.
