About Michelle
I am a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry and Family Medicine. I enjoy meeting and working with all types of clients and specialize in down to earth conversation meant to address areas in a client's life that are most difficult to navigate. I want to inspire others to find their own inner strength while empowering them to make sound and well guided decisions. Whether the client is goal seeking or simply wishes to have a supportive ear, I am here for them. Together, we can explore various options that fit any lifestyle. I enjoy client/provider relationships that are collaborative and with open communication.
My style includes focusing on what the client tells me are their goals. I want to work within the parameters of safety and satisfaction without any compromise of goals or beliefs. Healing starts with honestly exploring issues that are not always easy to face. But, together, we sort it all out and make simple, realistic plans to reach a solution.
I would love to meet you and build a solid and non-judgmental relationship. I may only be a small part of your life or even present for a short time. However, mental health is a lifelong journey and you deserve to have a caring and steadfast provider.

"I seek to connect with all humans on all levels; mental health is an expression of ourselves that needs to be nurtured and understood. Finding connection is our purpose in life. "

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I have always found psychiatry and mental health very interesting; I want to help people understand and nurture their mental health.
What types of clients do you work best with?
No preference.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Everything can take time and that the hardest step is the first one.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
A lot of questions and information gathering; no pressure; I want things to feel natural and not forced.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I seek to be culturally competent and stay away from stereotypes; everyone is treated the same and that all patients are individually unique.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I spend time getting to know things about my clients. Their sessions with me are deeply personal in that I take the time to ask and note details about what they say and reveal about themselves.
