Philosophy of Care 

Clarice Anthony-Francis is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the great state of Texas and has been practicing since 2017.  She graduated from Prairie View A&M University with her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Special Education and Master of Arts in Counseling.    

Clarice has experience working with adult and adolescent clients with various mental health disorders including, but not limited to, mood disorders, personality disorders, PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, grief/loss, life transition, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder.  She specializes in adolescents (13-18) and adults.

Clarice enjoys working with individuals, families, and couples to help you achieve your goals and live a meaningful, fulfilling life that cultivates meaningful and fulfilling relationships. Additionally, she incorporates mindfulness, meditation techniques, creative expressive tools along to enhance your social and coping skills.

Clarice’s style is direct, encouraging, collaborative, and compassionate. She sees you, the client, as the expert in your life and daily experiences.  Her role is to help guide you through your journey with therapy to take your next step(s). She utilizes CBT, DBT, goal oriented, and trauma informed approaches. Evening and weekend appointments are available.

Kimberly Richter is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist in the state of Texas who has 18 years’ experience collaborating with adults and families seeking help with depression, anxiety, life transitions, adoption issues and school issues. Kim is also an EMDR trained therapist.  She completed her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and soon to finish her PhD in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University.

Kim utilizes relational, collaborative, evidence, strength based, cognitive behavioral, solution focused, and play focused approaches to therapy always maintaining the creativity, flexibility and awareness necessary to meet the needs of every unique individual and family.

Mab Nwachukwu is a Board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner licensed in the state  of Texas since 2017. She has experience working in psychiatric clinics with clients  18 years and older helping them to achieve their recovery goals. She is skilled in  assessing and treating a variety of mental health disorders including Depression,  

Anxiety Disorders, Adjustment disorders, Bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, and  psychotic disorders. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s  University Dallas and received her Master of Science in Nursing specializing in  Psychiatry and Mental Health from University of Texas in Arlington. 

Mab provides Psychiatric evaluation and medication management services  through Telepsychiatry. She is passionate about thorough evaluation, patient  teaching, holistic and collaborative care. So, your treatment will be customized, physical, psychosocial, and spiritual concerns considered, medical work-ups and  therapy referrals included when indicated. 

Mab is a patient-friendly clinician who actively and intuitively listens to foster a  therapeutic alliance with her clients; you will ALWAYS have an active voice in  your treatment and her goal is to provide a setting where all clients are  comfortable to communicate their current needs and achieve the optimal level of  functioning that they value and desire.

Vanessa Longoria-Carter, LPC, LMFT

Philosophy of Care

Vanessa Longoria-Carter is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist. She has received additional training through The Center for Anger Resolution to obtain the credentials of Certified Anger Resolution Therapist. She has received training in EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She is also certified in Hypnotherapy. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and then received her Masters in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University-Central Texas.

Vanessa has provided therapeutic services in a variety of settings including outpatient, intensive outpatient, community based, home based, and school based. She has worked as a clinical supervisor to graduate level interns providing individual, group, and family counseling in adult and child focused facilities. During her training she worked almost exclusively with military families and their surrounding communities. Vanessa has specialized training and experience in the areas of child welfare, child abuse prevention and intervention, domestic violence prevention and intervention, divorce with dignity, solution focused therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, foster care and adoptions, blended families, immigration, and couples therapy for couples struggling with infidelity.

Vanessa believes that every client is unique and it is important to ensure the client is utilizing the strengths they already have in order to empower growth and positive change. As a therapist she hopes to help clients build a strong foundation so that they can continue to make positive changes even after they are no longer receiving services.
