Get to know Gina

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

I have always had a passion helping people. Being able to help a person be empowered and life their best life is why I am a therapist.

What types of clients do you work with best?

Teens, adults of all ages, couples.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

That being a therapist does not exclude you from learning life lessons.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

I have experience as an inpatient therapist, community therapist and telehealth therapist. I joined Thriveworks because here the client comes first and that matches my motto.

What inspires you?

People who are trying to better their lives is such an inspiration for me.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

This is our time to relax and get to know one another and discuss why you made the great decision to come to therapy.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

I like to put clients at ease and let them know they will get 100% from me.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

I am a therapist who believes in homework. Practice makes perfect but I like to take things slow.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I just adore my Pit Bull and he gets a lot of my attention. I have family close and love to spend time with them.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

My honesty; whether professional or personal, I will always be honest.
