About Gina
Gina Faulds is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 4 years of experience in the mental health field. She is passionate about helping adolescents, adults, and couples with a variety of challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship issues, military issues, LGTBQ+, trauma, life transitions, and more.
Gina completed her Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at Texas A&M and also holds a psychology degree from the University of Maryland. Gina is retired military with experience with military stressors. This along with her professional experience such as an inpatient therapist has helped her to use a variety of treatment approaches based on the clients needs such as mindfulness, client-centered therapy (CCT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and much more.

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I have always had a passion helping people. Being able to help a person be empowered and life their best life is why I am a therapist.
What types of clients do you work with best?
Teens, adults of all ages, couples.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
That being a therapist does not exclude you from learning life lessons.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I have experience as an inpatient therapist, community therapist and telehealth therapist. I joined Thriveworks because here the client comes first and that matches my motto.
What inspires you?
People who are trying to better their lives is such an inspiration for me.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
This is our time to relax and get to know one another and discuss why you made the great decision to come to therapy.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I like to put clients at ease and let them know they will get 100% from me.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
I am a therapist who believes in homework. Practice makes perfect but I like to take things slow.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I just adore my Pit Bull and he gets a lot of my attention. I have family close and love to spend time with them.

My honesty; whether professional or personal, I will always be honest.
