About
As a woman of color who has struggled with ADHD her entire life, I understand how life changing getting the help we need to change our life can be, and I would love to help you on your journey back to yourself.
Hi, I’m Tanya Lorenzi, a Licensed Professional Counselor with 15 years of experience, licensed in both Georgia and South Carolina. I specialize in working with women navigating ADHD, trauma, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or like they’ve lost a sense of who they are. My work focuses on helping them reconnect with themselves, build emotional clarity, and create meaningful, lasting change so they can feel grounded, confident, and like themselves again.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I integrate evidence-based methods like EMDR alongside practical tools to help clients process painful experiences, regulate emotions, and move forward with greater clarity. Clients can expect a supportive space that balances depth, structure, and compassion.
I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can exhale — where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow. If you’re ready to reconnect with yourself and create meaningful change, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in that process.

As a clinician with 22 years of experience in the mental health field, I understand the unique issues of clients with different personal, ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds.
Catherine Roberts is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 22 years of experience in the mental health field. She understands the unique issues of clients with different personal, ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds.
Catherine enjoys working with clients who are experiencing self-identity, interpersonal relational issues that affect their job and family dynamics. This is her ideal type of client to work with because there is a lot of self-exploration the client will need to work on first. Some of the issues that will come up are self-loathing, lack of esteem, shame, and poor self-image. As a clinician, Catherine provides them support and total acceptance. When the client can begin to embrace and accept who they are without judgment, they can begin to work on how they relate to other people in all areas of their life. This can be done slowly and one step at a time. The pace is usually set by the client and how they progress along in treatment as they embrace each stage of their new self.
Catherine began her career in the mental health field as a therapist in an inpatient facility, responsible for the patient's ongoing clinical progress while at the hospital. Her patients varied in ages from 10 to 12-year-old children, to 13 to 17-year-old adolescents, to 18 to 55-year-old adults, and seniors who were in crisis. She worked with patients who were diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Anxiety, Major Depression, Obsessive Impulsive Disorder, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Mood Disorder, Alcohol/Drug Dependency, Conduct Disorder, and Sleep disorder, just to name a few.
Catherine really enjoys getting to know people while working with them on their unique concerns. She offers a very supportive and client-centered environment to therapy, and she loves helping clients move toward their goals by being a partner in their journey towards a renewed self and clinically appropriate treatment. She enjoys working with clients and assigning them research-based homework activities to help them work independently on areas of concerns outside of the sessions. Her areas of specialty include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, interpersonal therapy, and other researched based therapeutic approaches that are appropriate to treatment.

As a woman of color, I bring cultural awareness and lived understanding into the therapy space, utilizing a flexible, client-centered approach that honors your unique story, strengths, and goals.
I am an associate professional counselor with 7 years of experience providing culturally responsive, compassionate care. I have worked with diverse individuals across many settings, where I have supported clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and identity exploration. I use a flexible, client-centered approach that integrates evidence-based practices while honoring each person’s lived experience and cultural context. Together, we work to build insight, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful, sustainable change that aligns with their values and goals.
I earned my Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and flexible, integrating evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths-focused interventions, and mindfulness to help you better understand patterns and build practical coping tools.
Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and I want you to know that you don’t have to navigate this season of your life alone. Whatever you’re carrying, there is space for it here. Healing and growth are possible, and taking the first step is a powerful act of self-care. When you feel ready, I invite you to schedule an appointment.

In navigating the challenges of everyday life, I recognize the importance of prioritizing self care and exploring the areas of our lives that need healing.
Hello! My name is Lauren, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with adolescents and adults in telehealth, inpatient, and field-based settings. Many of the individuals I have worked with have experienced challenges related to relational and childhood trauma, sudden loss, complex marital dynamics, infidelity, negative peer relationships, body image concerns, and other life stressors. The individuals I have worked with are no different than most of us, who on some level are seeking balance, peace, and reassurance.
In our work together, we will explore the root causes of your most pressing concerns. Through mindfulness, person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and solution-focused approaches, we will work toward clarity and self-acceptance. You can expect a compassionate, judgment-free space for authentic self-expression, reflective listening, and renewed perspectives.
Being vulnerable and transparent in an unfamiliar environment can be difficult, but I hope to provide a comfortable space for sharing and exploration. I work well with individuals who are motivated toward change and insight. I have experience supporting those navigating depression, grief, anxiety, life transitions, and childhood and relational trauma.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

Thriveworks Couples therapy helps couples work through their specific relationship issues. It is led by licensed professionals — often licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs) — who are experts in their field and best-equipped to help couples. Some examples of common focuses within couples therapy include:
Couples therapy works by helping couples identify and better navigate their unique challenges. Following an initial assessment of the couple in terms of strengths and needs, the therapist would then discuss their therapeutic goals and any possible approaches or ways of working together as therapist and couple.Couples attend sessions together, whether they meet in person or by video. In addition to regular couples therapy sessions, each partner may also be asked to attend a few individual sessions to supplement their progress. This will allow their counselor to get to know each individual better, assess each of their personal needs, and develop the very best treatment plan moving forward.
Couples therapy at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and via Online therapy. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you and your partner.
On average, couples attend couples therapy for 12 weeks. However, couples therapy may last longer or shorter, dependent on the couples’ needs, the challenges they’d like to work through, and the pace of their progress.
The first date just ended and you’re pretty sure there are actual sparks in the air. By the time the second date comes, you’re convinced you just found your soul mate.
But then comes date 10, date 50, maybe so many years that you’ve lost tracks of the dates. Your relationship isn’t the same as it was at the start. The once flirtatious stubbornness is just the annoying dirty dishes they have yet to put away. At the beginning, you didn’t realize just how grumpy they are Monday Mornings or how difficult it is to talk about finances. But now, those become startlingly obvious. Real life can drain all the magic out of a once beautiful relationship.
Thriveworks Woodstock is willing to bet it can be beautiful again.
Fights, doubts, and insecurities are a normal part of all relationships. They can even be a sign of a healthy relationship, proof that you are both willing to grow and change together. Of course, this doesn’t make your fears any less scary and your partner’s tendency to bring up “that one time…” healthy. You deserve to feel loved and worthy, because you are!
Thriveworks Woodstock Couples Counseling is here to help you and your partner work through the human mistakes and insecurities to build a stronger, happier relationship and life together. Our Couples Counseling therapists will help you bounce back from a hard fight, work your way through a rough patch, or prepare for the next one. Relationships will always take hard work, dedication, and a few tears. But that doesn’t have to take away the love, beauty, and magic of them.
Most couples who come to Thriveworks Couples Counseling Woodstock will say yes! The love you once had is probably still there, it’s just buried a little underneath the arguments, doubts and insecurities. An unbiased third party could be all you need to work through those and rediscover that love. With all the love you’ve put into this relationship, let’s give it the chance it deserves!
In the beginning, infatuation is stronger than the kind of deep love lasting relationships are built off of. This isn’t bad, but infatuation does have to melt away into a stronger love eventually. Infatuation can brush aside flaws or even romanticize them. But as infatuation fades and a deeper love takes root, old habits and routines start to show themselves.
If any of the habits or routines your partner does, say, or insinuate makes you feel unsafe, we are a phone-call away to help talk you through possible next steps.
More often, your partner may just exhibit some habits that aren’t dangerous, but still make you feel unloved, unappreciated, or unresected. That is not how a relationship should be! You deserve to feel loved, appreciated, and respected. With a Woodstock Couples Counselor, we will get to the root of the problem and build a stronger relationship.
A few of the more common issues Thriveworks Woodstock can address include:
There is never a reason too big or too small to disqualify you from counseling. All of your concerns are valid and important to address. At times, you, your partner, and your counselor may agree that ending romantic ties is the best path. Other times, Couples Counseling allows couples to “check-in”, like a physical check-up but for your relationship.
Thriveworks Woodstock understands how relationships are constantly shifting, as are the problems you need to address. Therefore, every Couples Counseling session will be unique and designed to fit your relationship, personality, and long-term and short-term goals.
Our sessions always provide a nonjudgmental space for you to grow and heal. We are the guide, not the leader, and will offer support and expertise to help get you to where you want to be. Some of the expertise our Thriveworks Woodstock counselors have comes in the form of tools that can be taught and implemented. We may work at addressing specific issue such as cheating, feeling unloved, or communication. Other times, we may use tools that will increase overall relationship satisfaction. If there’s a gap between where your relationship is at and where you want it to be, Thriveworks Woodstock is here to help bridge the gap!
Finally, everyone is welcomed at Thriveworks Couples Counseling in Woodstock. Dating, engaged, or married- if you are in a relationship then we are excited to meet you and begin strengthening and healing your relationship! The sparks you saw in the beginning aren’t gone; they’re just hiding. With a little extra help, your relationship can be full of love!
