As a therapist, I bring both lived experience and clinical training, offering a warm, culturally attuned space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and supported as you grow.
I am a licensed associate professional counselor (LAPC) with 7 years of experience providing therapy to adolescents and adults. I specialize in anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship concerns, and trauma-related challenges. I work with individuals who are seeking deeper insight, emotional regulation, and a greater sense of balance and fulfillment in their lives.
I have my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University. My approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented, blending cognitive-behavioral strategies, attachment-focused work, and trauma-informed care. I help clients build emotional regulation skills, strengthen self-awareness, and develop tools for lasting change.
If you’ve been carrying more than you let others see, you don’t have to do it alone. Healing is possible, and change often begins with one courageous step. When you’re ready, I invite you to schedule a session—I would be honored to walk alongside you in this work.

With over 20 years of experience, I have realized that life situations happen when you least expect it.
Leslie Middleton Walters, EdD, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 26 years of experience in the mental health field. In times of death, divorce, financial issues, family relational problems, or any issue that brings about episodes of emotional unrest, Leslie believes that it is always best to reach out to someone that can assist with de-escalating fears and re-establishing hope, and provide encouragement to persevere during the dark times. Her primary goal is to help others face their challenges, fears, and become the person that they want to be through the development of lifelong coping skills, in an environment that is accepting and open to individualized thoughts and ideas.
Leslie completed both her Master of Science (MS) in Mental Health Counseling and her Master of Science (MS) in Guidance and Counseling at Fort Valley State University. She went on to complete her Doctor of Education (EdD) in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University. Through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques and other evidenced-based practices, Leslie assists those seeking a brand-new start to let go and accept their past so that they can invest in their future. While her degrees have provided her with the education to engage in expert counseling strategies, it has been Leslie's hands-on experience in helping others that has given her the emotional tools to help those take that first step to a new beginning.
It is because of these experiences, that my counseling practices are built upon a foundation of faith, hope, trust, perseverance, and the understanding that helping others is one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Throughout my life, I’ve learned that all experiences are part of the journey. No matter the circumstances that come my way, I choose to focus on the good and always enjoy the ride.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 12 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through a wide range of mental health concerns and life transitions. I work with children and adolescents, including those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, as well as couples seeking to improve communication and strengthen their connection. I also support women navigating identity changes, major life transitions, and adjustments during the empty-nest stage.
I earned my master’s degree in clinical psychology from Walden University. My approach to counseling is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I strive to create a safe, supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and encouraged as they work toward meaningful growth and positive change.
Reaching out for support can feel like a courageous and vulnerable step, and you do not have to take it alone. I am here to listen, support, and walk alongside you as we explore a path forward that feels right for you. Together, we can focus on your well-being and help you feel seen, heard, and supported as you move toward healing and personal growth.

As a black woman who's been married for 10 years and lives a very busy life, I understand the challenges that comes with marriage and society. As someone who has personally experienced depression and anxiety along with challenges in self-esteem, I understand how that can get in the way of the relationship with yourself, significant other, and family.
I have been practicing therapy since 2019 and hold an LPC. I typically work with couples who are facing communication challenges and broken trust along with helping them reconnect. I work with individuals and help them to gain healthy coping skills to deal with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.
I love to be collaborative with clients and be intuitive to specific needs they may have in the moment. That helps clients to feel seen and understood during their healing journey.
Healing is something we all must experience but being able to trust someone you can be vulnerable with makes it so much easier.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

Life is far from perfect. At some point, we all encounter towering mountains and storms that seem to last forever. When the storms hit, it’s easy to think you have to weather them alone. Christian Counseling at Thriveworks Woodstock can provide that missing piece in counseling sessions- spiritual health. Mental, emotional, and physical health are immensely important, but we can’t ignore the spiritual aspect of our lives. For some, their relationship with God is the center of their lives. If it is important to you, it’s important to us. Also, the Christian faith is immensely powerful! Thriveworks Woodstock has counselors who share the same faith as you, so you can grow in your religion with a like-minded professional helping you along the way.

In the course of a Christian Counseling session, Christian values are often brought up and explored. We can relate them back to your personal struggles and find guidance within their wisdom. Some of the techniques we use include:
Christian beliefs are overflowing with themes of hope, healing, and faith. It would be silly to completely ignore the beautiful faith you’ve cultivated, or the impact it has on your life. Faith is a powerful thing indeed and can be just as powerful in a counseling room. Our Thriveworks Woodstock Christian Counselors want to help you grow not only personally, but spiritually as well.
Christian counseling is for anyone who identifies as Christian or wants to take a spiritual take on the counseling process! We accept all denominations and beliefs. Our goal is to never change your core beliefs but to utilize them to create space and healing in your life.
Sometimes we can get into the headspace that we have to go through our trials alone. We start to believe that reaching out for help is a sign of weakness. We don’t want to be a burden to others or miss out on the chance to grow our own faith and belief.
These are valid concerns, but mostly untrue. As humans, we are meant to be in kinship with one another and help each other up. Reaching out for help is more often than not a sign of humility and strength, not weakness. Thriveworks Woodstock wants to thank you for your strength and courage in just reading this. We are excited to meet you and begin growing together.
You might find Christian Counseling especially useful if you are struggling with one or more of the following adversities:
