About
I know firsthand the pain of life and mental illness, and my passion is to provide hope to those who feel hurt, lonely, and misunderstood by using a blend of faith-based and cognitive behavioral therapy.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with over 4 years of experience supporting individuals and families through their healing journeys. I help clients manage depression, anxiety, and mood disorders while building coping skills and resilience. I enjoy incorporating faith-based principles when welcomed, creating a therapeutic space that aligns with each client’s values. My goal is to help clients uncover strength and hope, using compassion and collaboration as the foundation for growth. I empower clients to recognize their resilience and practice positive change daily.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. My approach is strength-based, integrating cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy techniques to help clients build new perspectives, reframe distress, and develop healthier coping tools.
I look forward to welcoming you into a safe, judgment-free space where your story matters. No one is beyond healing, and I believe in meeting each client with empathy and understanding. Together, we’ll navigate challenges, uncover strengths, and take meaningful steps toward emotional wellness and peace.

As a veteran and counselor, I help service members, first responders, and their families make sense of what they’ve been through and take practical steps toward a life that reflects what matters most to them.
Hi, I'm Dr. Troy Pharis, a licensed professional counselor with over 10 years of experience and a doctoral degree in health science. For the past five years, my clinical work has focused on active-duty military, veterans, first responders, and their families—people who often carry high-stress experiences long after service ends. Having served 20 years myself, I understand life in uniform and aim to provide a space where you don't have to explain the basics to be understood. I typically work with clients who are dealing with trauma, stress, anxiety, irritability, difficulty adjusting, or feeling stuck with no momentum for change.
I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an action-oriented approach that helps you stop getting stuck and start moving toward what matters most to you. I also incorporate EMDR to help process past events that may still be impacting you. Clients can expect a laid-back, informal environment with real conversations and tools that actually work.
You don't have to have everything figured out to begin or even know where to start—if you're ready to move toward what matters most, I'm here to help you take that next step.

As a mom, wife, sister, and friend, I consider it a privilege to walk with people through tender seasons of their lives.
I'm a licensed professional counselor associate with seven years of experience working with children and young adults from all areas and walks of life. I received my bachelor of arts in psychology from Liberty University in 2010 and my master of arts in professional counseling from Liberty University in 2013. I enjoy working with children, teens, college students, and adults who may be experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and life transitions.
Building a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of healing, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they share their stories. I believe humor can be a meaningful part of healing and strive to create a warm, supportive, and authentic space for growth. My work is grounded in CBT, and I'm currently pursuing advanced training in DBT. Christian counseling is also available upon request.
Life's challenges can feel heavy, but they do not define who you are. I want to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and encouraged. My hope is to help you find healing, renewed hope, and confidence ahead. I want to hear your story, understand what matters most to you, and help you take meaningful steps toward growth and change. I would be honored to support you—schedule an appointment today.

Dr. Watson helps make therapy a safe space for clients to come and let it all out. Dr. Watson meets clients on their level and grows with the client as the client improves through treatment.
