About Jacqueline
"As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I bring warmth, compassion, empathy, and a kind sense of humor so that it's easy for you to talk to and confide in me."
As a registered nurse of 15 years, Jacqueline had the privilege of caring for clients, often at their worst, while demonstrating care, compassion, empathy, and trustworthiness. Wanting to do more for clients in her rural community, she pursued a degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, in which she treated patients by providing chronic disease management, preventative health services, and health education for 8 years. Many of the clients in family practice had mental health concerns requiring more time than she could provide as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a fast-paced office. Recognizing the shortage of mental health professionals, Jacqueline furthered her education and earned a degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. For the past two years, she has provided exceptional and timely mental health care via Telehealth to clients throughout Illinois. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, insomnia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, stress, women's issues, or grief, Jacqueline will listen to your concerns and work with you to formulate the best treatment plan possible.
At your first session, she will listen to your concerns with an open mind. Together, you will discuss options for managing your symptoms including various therapies, medications, and supplements, taking a holistic approach and addressing the needs of your mind, body, and spirit. The visit will conclude once you feel that your concerns have been addressed and you will be encouraged to schedule a follow-up appointment to monitor your growth and progress.
Listening skills and patience are Jacqueline's greatest strengths, which was another motivating factor compelling her to pursue a career in the mental health field. By listening to your concerns, she gains a better understanding of you, which is essential in developing a treatment plan. Patience is imperative, as mental health concerns can often take months or years to address and heal. If you are ready to begin the journey to restore your mental health, schedule an appointment with her today.
