How does co-parenting counseling work?

Co-parenting counseling addresses each client’s needs and challenges — it can help parents put aside their differences, create a healthy balance or routine with their kids, and more. Everyone’s challenges are different and so the therapeutic process is too.

Co-parenting can make the traumatic experience less traumatic by helping both parents work together cooperatively to parent their children in a business-like fashion. Both parents are essentially making a commitment to their parental obligations and responsibilities.

How Does Co-Parenting Work?

At Thriveworks-Reading/Wyomissing a co-parenting counselor sits down with both partners and works together to make a plan to parent by leaving out the emotions. A co-parenting coach can help parents learn to communicative more effectively and not get caught up in their emotions. This helps to ensure that their children are getting what they need.

I am pleased to have someone I can tell how I am feeling that I would not express to family or friends. The medication helps me to get a better night sleep and helps me feel better the following days and to cope throughout the days that follow.

I'm very fortunate to have gotten such a great Therapist Lauren Lowe. She is a very good listener and helps me with my anxiety. Lauren gives me ideas how to manage the anxiety. I see her every Wednesday afternoon and go over what has happened for the week to help me cope with things I have problems with. I look forward to see her and all the help she has given me. I rate her very highly as a Therapist.

I took my preteen child there, who did not want to go at all and after 1 session my child was willing to go back, reporting the counselor was so nice! I instantly saw a change in my child, we will continue to attend throughout the summer to continue to make progress. When we arrived, I instantly felt comfortable in this calm environment. I recommend this office to anyone.
