I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 8 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and related mental health concerns, supporting individuals through some of the most challenging moments of their lives with empathy and clinical expertise.
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Purdue University. My clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based practice and focuses on comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and individualized treatment planning tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.
I work collaboratively with clients to help them identify underlying concerns, build effective coping strategies, and make meaningful progress toward improved mental health. Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
As a trained dual certified provider, while working as a family nurse practitioner, I came in contact with clients that have both medical needs while also dealing with mental health issues as well. My decision to become a mental health provider came when I realized that I cared deeply for both their medical needs and mental health needs of these clients, This propelled me to go back to school to obtain my certification as a mental health nurse practitioner so that I can make a positive impact in my clients lives.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work with clients of all ages. Adolescents and Adults are my top favorites
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Therapy is a collaborative effort and it takes time and effort to achieve the desired goal. Clients need to know that therapy has the power to genuinely change your life
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
We will start with brief introduction in our first session and I will assist you to explore the particular issues or challenges that you are facing, You do not have to tell your whole story in the first session.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Some personal values that inform my practice as a provider include having a heart of compassion, respect , interaction with clients and be honest with my clients. This has helped me to create an environment that is supportive that helps to promote clients well being
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Some of ways that I tailor therapy to client's unique needs involve customize individual treatment plans and adjusting treatment plan based on client's needs. Another method that I use is directly asking a client for feedback while considering the client's culture as well.
Does Sade prescribe medications effective for the treatment of ADHD?
Yes - when clinically appropriate, Sade may prescribe both non-stimulant and stimulant medication for the treatment of ADHD.
