As a trauma-informed therapist who has transformed my own pain into purpose, I guide others to heal trauma through the powerful connection between mind, body, and spirit—helping them reclaim their inner peace, strength, and authenticity.
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and certified personal trainer. I specialize in helping women who feel disconnected from themselves after years of emotional pain, trauma, or body shame. Many of my clients come to me seeking freedom from overthinking, people-pleasing, and patterns of self-abandonment. Together, we explore the wounds beneath these patterns so they can rediscover confidence, emotional safety, and connection with their true selves.
I hold a master’s in social work from Wayne State University. My approach blends evidence-based therapy with holistic practices that honor the mind-body connection. Through eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, somatic awareness, mindfulness, movement, and breathwork, I help clients process emotions, build self-trust, and support nervous system regulation.
You deserve to feel grounded, whole, and at peace within yourself. Healing isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about remembering who you’ve always been beneath the pain. If you’re ready to begin your journey toward reconnection and growth, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

Tatrina Bailey-Josephs is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who specializes in helping children, adults, and families find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole, and safe. Tatrina has 14 years of experience in the mental health field, working as a counselor, coach, and administrator in trauma-informed care for individuals experiencing trauma, behavioral, and emotional issues.
Tatrina completed her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Criminal Justice at Walden University and her Master of Arts (MA) in Counseling at Prairie View A&M University. She realizes how important it is to identify all aspects of an individual’s life that impact their wellbeing, including their physical health, support systems (family, friends, etc.), work or school environment, and faith/spirituality. Tatrina is concerned with the impact of loss and trauma and improving interventions to support trauma recovery for better emotional, physical, and relationship health.
Tatrina’s goal as a counselor is to provide a safe environment where you can explore your primary interests, develop goals, and determine strengths and assets as you move toward your aspirations. She believes in working in partnership to utilize your strengths to help you sort out your challenges and achieve your goals. Tatrina knows that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and so she uses a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Gestalt therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and psychodrama to individuals aged 13 and up. Tatrina’s hope is to help individuals who have the motivation to improve and the courage to seek growth through vulnerability and hard work.

Social anxiety counseling helps people better understand and manage the anxiety they experience in or because of social interactions. If you are struggling with regular anxious thoughts and feelings as a result of social interactions or settings and they’re affecting your day-to-day life, consider seeking social anxiety counseling with one of our trained Thriveworks The Woodlands therapists. The social anxiety therapists at Thriveworks can develop a treatment plan that will help you better manage your day-to-day social anxiety or your social anxiety disorder.
Social anxiety counseling involves talking to a therapist about your social anxiety symptoms, potential causes, and more. Your therapist will then work with you to determine where your social anxiety might stem from and teach you effective coping mechanisms.
Thriveworks social anxiety counseling in The Woodlands, TX is conducted both in person and through online therapy. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
Social anxiety counseling can last for a few weeks, months, or longer, depending on the severity of one’s social anxiety as well as their needs and preferences.

No one deserves to live with social anxiety, and with a Thriveworks The Woodlands social anxiety counselor, you don’t have to!
