What Happens in Family Therapy?

Family therapy is designed to be short-term, meaning that families can finish their counseling in 12 sessions, give or take. Each session will likely last about 60 minutes and the topics discussed will vary depending on the progress made and family members in attendance. To do so, they’ll assess each family member to identify where the cracks are in your relationships.

Once a treatment plan is in place, you can expect to discuss the following with your family therapist:
