What Anxiety Disorder Do I Have? How Can Anxiety Therapy Help?

  1. Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD): This type of anxiety comes with recurrent, unwanted thoughts and behaviors. For example, washing hands excessively or locking the door several times.
  2. Social anxiety disorder: With social anxiety, an individual feels anxious and/or uncomfortable in social interactions. One might experience social anxiety in any social situation or more specific situations, like being the center of attention.
  3. Post-traumatic stress disorder: This type of anxiety can develop after an individual has witnessed a traumatic experience. One might develop physical symptoms like shortness of breath as well as more psychological symptoms like flashbacks.
