About Keli
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addiction Counselor with over 20 years of experience in behavioral health, working in both inpatient and outpatient settings with children, families, and adults. I have a passion for teaching and have had the privilege of supervising students and teaching at the Academy for Addiction Professionals. I typically work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, anger, bereavement, life transitions, and relationship challenges who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward.
My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I tailor my approach to each person's needs, blending CBT, DBT, person-centered therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Internal Family Systems with a client-centered style. Together, we can build healthy coping skills, explore patterns holding you back, and make changes that feel realistic and meaningful.
Seeking help takes courage and is an important first step toward healing and growth. It's easy to get caught up in autopilot and forget to focus on yourself. In our work together, we'll build a supportive relationship where you can explore your feelings, notice where you feel stuck, and create space for positive change.

"I bring a compassion and a nonjudgmental approach as we work together, combining both professional training and lived experience. I'm here to listen, meet you where you are, and help make changes that feel genuinely right for your life."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I have always been drawn to helping others as it gives me a sense of purpose and connection. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I value the opportunity to meet new people and learn about their experiences, challenges, and resilience. Being able to support individuals through difficult moments while recognizing their strength is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are open to feedback, want to collaborate, and be an active part of the process while taking ownership of their growth. I really value client input because it helps guide our work and supports them in reaching their full potential. I also enjoy working with clients who are open to being challenged along the way.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that growth and healing can feel uncomfortable at times, but that’s part of the process. It takes patience and compassion for yourself along the way. Every session can be different, and therapy is most effective when clients are active participants and open to reflecting on their experiences. Honesty and active participation are very important.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, I aim to provide a safe and welcoming space where we focus on what brought them to seek help, their experiences, challenges, and goals, and what they want out of the sessions. Building rapport and trust, setting goals and encouraging client feedback from the start so it feels personalized and supportive.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My values of compassion, empathy, respect, and ethics guide my work as a therapist. I believe that everyone’s healing journey is unique, so I approach each client with patience and understanding. I strive to create a space where clients feel truly heard, supported, and empowered to explore their challenges at their own pace.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
After I gather a client history, challenges, strengths, and presenting concerns, I like to collaborate with the client on their personal goals. I regularly check in with clients to ensure the approach feels helpful and make adjustments as needed. Client feedback and collaboration is important to me to make sure we are moving in the right direction and help someone reach their full potential.
