Alejandra Galindo is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Texas with 9 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. Alejandra has worked with clients to help them navigate their trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and much more.
After graduating from John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology in New York City, Alejandra decided to continue her education in Texas. Alejandra graduated with her Master of Arts in Family Therapy from the University of Houston - Clear Lake.
When it comes to therapy, Alejandra utilizes ART (accelerated resolution therapy) relational, collaborative, strength-based, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, trauma-informed, solution-focused, and Gottman approach to assist her clients in meeting their goals. Alejandra tailors her sessions based on the client’s needs by remaining consistent in her flexibility, creativity, and awareness as she helps individuals and couples discover and utilize their unique strengths.

I am a bilingual (English, Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor who helps adults struggling with anxiety, childhood trauma, perfectionism, and relationship issues. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Houston and my Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I am passionate about helping clients heal from traumatic events and re-establish safety and connection within their bodies and in their relationships.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy to support my clients’ healing process. I also integrate DBT and mindfulness techniques to help clients approach their internal experiences in a nonjudgmental, compassionate manner and live their life in accordance with their values and beliefs.

Deanna Ball is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, with over 20 years of experience. She is passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community as well as addiction issues. She is a Sex Therapist as well as an Anger Resolution Therapist. Deanna specializes in depression, grief, sexual health, LGBTQ+ issues, and substance abuse (addiction) issues.
Deanna had two Master's degrees from Grand Canyon University, one in Professional Counseling and the other in Addiction Counseling. She is currently attending the University of Metaphysical Science and has achieved her Bachelor's in Metaphysics and has recently submitted her Master's Thesis and will soon be awarded her Master of Metaphysical Science degree. After that, she will pursue her Ph.D. in Metaphysical Science.
Deanna's background in addiction has molded her to be more direct & assertive in her approach. She doesn't hold back when giving feedback. Many clients say they appreciate the fact she's direct and tell it as she sees it. She won't hold your hand, but she will walk beside you. Many counselors do not have the addiction counseling specialty, several clients do not realize the effects addiction has had in their life; as they may have been raised in that environment & have no issues with drugs/alcohol personally. My go-to approach for helping people in individual therapy is eclectic. I don't believe therapy is a one-size-fits-all type of thing because everyone is beginning therapy at different stages. Some have no experience sharing personal details of their life with anyone, while others may be an open book and ready to talk about everything.

I know a client is making meaningful progress in individual therapy when they start to have a shift in their personality or outlook and they are doing the work that leads them to progress.
Clients can supplement their time in individual therapy by practicing techniques that were discussed in session as well as doing any homework or reading if assigned.
To prepare for your first individual therapy session, you can have an understanding of family history of medical/mental health issues (if any), an idea(s) on goals you'd like to work on together as a team with me, and a willingness to change or make changes in your life.

Individual therapy at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and via Online therapy. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
The duration of your individual therapy sessions will vary. The decision on the number and frequency of sessions is typically collaboratively determined by the client and therapist.
At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay. We also offer self-pay options for those out-of-network or without insurance. Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state.
