She specializes in assisting adults who have a range of concerns including depression, postpartum depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship issues, and behavioral problems, and helping them learn new coping skills. Shavier has previous experience in private practice, hospitals, schools, and in law enforcement settings.

Shavier received her Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Hofstra University and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgia State University. Shavier utilizes a variety of clinical approaches that are targeted to clients' needs including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy (SFT).
