About Provider

About Kasi

I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) with 16 years of experience in the mental health field. I specialize in substance use and addiction, trauma, ADHD, and parenting concerns. I take a nonjudgmental, open-minded approach to therapy and enjoy working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. I have experience supporting both adults and children who are navigating the effects of trauma and related emotional challenges.

I earned my master’s degree in human services from Capella University and am a master’s-level certified addiction professional. My work is grounded in evidence-based modalities, and I am trained in helping clients process trauma-related symptoms while building insight, emotional regulation, and practical coping skills.

My approach begins with a strong therapeutic relationship and clarifying your goals for therapy. Together, we will explore effective tools to better understand your experiences and develop coping strategies that support growth and self-awareness. I aim to help you leave each session feeling supported, empowered, and equipped to continue your progress.

Get to know Kasi

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a Counselor because it is a healthy way to give back, empower others, and assist with creating a lane of self-discovery.

What types of clients do you work best with?

Clients who are ready and willing to do the work.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Clients should know that mental health does not discriminate. Mental health is just as important as your physical health because even Counselors receive counseling. Healing is on your time.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In our first session we will complete consent forms, acknowledge your needs and desires for therapy and explore strengths and challenges.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

Validation, empowerment, confidentiality, respect, boundaries and autonomy.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I provide lots of psychoeducation from handouts to video clips to increase self-awareness. I assist with exploring and applying coping skills and holding my clients accountable to increase consistency.
