My go-to approach for helping people in individual therapy is using eclectic therapy. I prefer eclectic therapy techniques because they allow me to draw from several different therapeutic methods to increase the likelihood for behavior change.

I teach mindfulness, radical acceptance, thought diffusion, urge surfing, and many other forms of therapeutic interventions in individual therapy.

The duration of your individual therapy sessions will vary. The decision on the number and frequency of sessions is typically collaboratively determined by the client and therapist.

How much does individual therapy cost?

At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay. We also offer self-pay options for those out-of-network or without insurance. Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state. Getting here

Thriveworks Woodlands is located off Woodlands Parkway close to The Cheesecake Factory and Barnes and Noble. There is a 3 story garage behind those two stores and the closest place to park. Leave the garage and head to the back entrance of The Pottery Barn where there is a hallway with stairs and an elevator to the 2nd floor. Come through the glass doors and Thriveworks is the first office on the right!
