About
As someone who has experienced personal loss, including the passing of my father in April 2021 and my grandmother in July 2022, I bring a compassionate, authentic understanding of grief while creating a safe and supportive space for clients to heal and grow.
I am a licensed professional counselor and clinical director with extensive experience supporting adolescents, adults, and families navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I work with clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about their next steps, and who are seeking healing, clarity, and emotional stability. My goal is to provide a supportive, client-centered space where individuals can build coping skills, process challenges, and move toward a healthier, more balanced life.
I use a client-centered, trauma-informed approach integrating CBT, coping skills, and strengths-based techniques. I specialize in trauma, grief, and emotional regulation, helping clients build insight, develop healthy coping strategies, and feel empowered to create meaningful, lasting change.
You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone—I am here to support you with compassion, understanding, and practical tools for change. When you’re ready, I invite you to take that first step toward healing and becoming the best version of yourself.

I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 24 years of experience in the behavioral health field. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, family conflict, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and strength-based, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. My work often includes strengthening communication, developing healthy coping strategies, and increasing insight into patterns that may be contributing to ongoing challenges.
I earned my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Touro University Worldwide. I use an integrated, solution-focused approach that blends practical skill-building with emotional support.
Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and you do not have to do it alone. I meet clients where they are and work collaboratively to set goals, build on strengths, and move toward healing at a pace that feels right for them. If you are ready to begin your journey, I would be honored to support you.

Hello! I am Claire Cross, PMHNPBC, and I’ve worked in healthcare since 2006. I graduated from the University of Louisiana Monroe in 2006 with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I have 15 years of nursing experience in critical care, surgery, and psychiatric nursing. I completed my Master of Science in Nursing at the University of South Alabama in 2020 and received a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Across the Lifespan Certification from the ANCC in 2021. I have 5 years of experience treating clients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance use disorders, and personality disorders.
My general approach involves working with the patient to find a medication regimen that works for them and that they are comfortable with. I feel that when the patient is comfortable with medication/medications that there is an increased likelihood of compliance and continued improvement in their mental health.
I want my patients to feel heard. It is so difficult to ask for help and places a person in such a vulnerable position that a trusting relationship is essential for progress. Congratulations on taking the step to ask for help. You should be very proud of yourself.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.
