About Ashley
I am Ashley Maeshack, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges. I earned my master's degree in counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and have experience working with adolescents and adults. I specialize in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, trauma, stress, life transitions, and emotional challenges. My therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client's needs and goals. I believe that healing begins in a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
I use a collaborative, strengths-based approach that integrates CBT, DBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Clients can expect a supportive environment focused on building coping skills, resilience, and lasting positive change.
Taking the first step toward change can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to face life's challenges alone. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive space where you can heal, grow, and build on your strengths. If you're ready to begin your journey toward greater well-being, I look forward to supporting you along the way.

"As a licensed therapist, I am committed to building authentic connections and helping clients navigate life's challenges with confidence, self-awareness, and hope."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because I have a genuine passion for helping others and enjoy building meaningful connections with people. I find it rewarding to support individuals as they navigate challenges, discover their strengths and work toward positive change. Being able to help clients improve their well-being and achieve their goals is what inspires me the most about this work.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adolesents, young adults and women who are seeking support with anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, life transitions, stress management, and healing from past experiences. I enjoy helping clients build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, improve emotional wellbeing and navigate challenges in a supportive, nonjudmental environment.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that healing is not linear process. There will be progress, setbacks, and moments of growth along the way, and thats completely normal. Therapy is not about being "fixed", its about gaining insight, building skills and learning to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience Change takes time, and every step forward, no matter how small, is meaningful.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session and early stages of therapy, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive environment where we focus on building rapport and establishing trust. We will discuss their concerns, goals, life experiences at a pace that feels comfortable. Together, we will begin identifying challenges, exploring strengths and developing a plan to support their growth and healing.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is informed by a deep value of compassion, respect, and the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and change. I value authenticity, connection, and meeting clients where they are without judgment. I an also guided by a strong commitment to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard and empowered to work through lifes challenges at their own pace.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy to each client by taking a collaborative, individualized approach that considers their unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I draw from a variety of evidenced-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, TraumaFocused CBT, SolutionFocused Therapy and Narrative Therapy, to best support their needs. I adjust my pace, techniques, and focus based on what feels most helpful for the client, ensuring that therapy remains personalized, flexible, and aligned with their goals for growth and healing.
